About NBSE (Nagaland Board of School Education)

The NBSE was set up through an Act by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly and received the assent of the Governor on the 15th of November 1973. 

It started functioning from the 1st October 1974, and in March 1975, the Board held its first High School Leaving Certificate Examination at 6 (six) centres, for 2008 (two thousand and eight) candidates.

The NBSE conducted the HSLC Examination 1988 on the new syllabus based on the national core curriculum. The NBSE ( Amendment ) Act 1990 empowers the Board to conduct the higher secondary school leaving certificate examination under the three streams- science, arts and commerce.

West Bengal Class 12 Board Exam Results 2017

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) conducts the Class 12 board exams in the state of West Bengal for the students appearing in Class 12 Higher Secondary Exam.

The result of West Bengal Class 12 Exam is expected to be declared in June 2017 .

About West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)


The Government of West Bengal has established the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, Act 1975. The council is the main body which looks after the education system in the 10+2. The council has its main office at Salt Lake, Bidhannagar, Korunamoyee, Kolkata along with 4 regional offices. 

After completing secondary school examination, students enroll for 2 years in Higher Secondary Institutions. Upon completing the required coursework, students may enroll in general or professional degree programmes.
